When Southern California-dwelling Brenda Mak isn't hustling at her day job, this Hong Kong born artist spends her spare time drawing and constantly searching for inspiration as well as other artists to study from. She first discovered her love of art through the multitude of children’s books she had as a child as well as from watching classic after-school cartoons such as Batman: The Animated Series and Card Captor Sakura. The intricacies of character designs and relationships were always fascinating for Brenda, as well as contrasts in colors and rich, inviting palettes. As a young child, she spent more time drawing than she should’ve at any given moment, doodling on the margins of papers during classes.

Through her art, Brenda is able to showcase her love for color and details, evident in each piece. In addition to making art, she enjoys reading, collecting comic books and figurines, foodie adventures, and petting all the fat cats and cute animals she comes across.
